Quality Inn Troutville - Roanoke North

I decided to stay at this quality Inn because it was close to when I stayed at last year, which was a nice safe area is located right next to a Cracker Barrel and just down the road less than four minutes away or a slew of restaurants check in was easy and the gentleman upfront and check me in was really nice. This was a late check in as I opted out of Econo lodge, which I will never stay at or even think about staying at again. Comfort Inn and quality inn I’ve have had good experiences. the only issue I had here, the room had a weird smell to it. I’m not sure if it was musty or what it was. It was just not something that was very pleasing. I was tired, so didn’t matter that much but enough to notice, as I’m sure anybody would. A few things the toilet had trouble flushing, the water takes a long time to warm up, even though this is an accessible room with an accessible shower I think it will be a little difficult for someone to get in this that has mobility issues it does have rails and necessary things. It’s just quite a step up for somebody that may have to get out of a wheelchair or has the raise legs 2 to 3 feet over. This is not a problem for me. It’s just something I noticed and when the person gets out, they have to be very careful. A few other little minor issues. There was very little shampoo and there was no conditioner. There was plenty of towels, the television although it is dated worked fine. It’s just a little small and from quite a few years ago the microwave and refrigerator kept on turning on and off because the outlets are not in such great shape and if you run them simultaneously, this is on a power strip so it kept on shutting off there were some burn marks on the bedspread even though they were clean. I just think it’s something they need to get rid of. The lighting in the bathroom was a little bit dated also it’s something that you use in like a shop so if you have to use the mirror it’s gonna be shaded a couple lights on the left and right side would be a big help. Other than that. I slept well., the continental breakfast. I woke up a little bit later didn’t get in there till probably about 930 but it was pretty much the same as the Comfort Inn not a whole lot, some eggs some sausage I think there may have been biscuits and gravy, couple cereals. Bonus there was orange juice here as there was none at the comfort Inn in lexington. Coffee, decaf, and tea was available, as was yogurt and a waffle maker didn’t see any bagels, but there was some danish packaged nice. Seating area and the Wi-Fi worked well, they also have a small area where you can conduct business on a computer. The morning staff member who managed the check in counter was very nice and very helpful. I would stay here regardless of the few inefficiencies just a nice area.

Not one complaint. Great service. Room was clean. Stayed on a Sunday. Quiet. Nice shower. Basic breakfast. Thanks, Morris was great checking me in, and Dane was very kind checking me out!

Have to say, this place never disappoints. Stay frequently for business and the rooms are always sparkling clean and breakfast is well stocked. Morris and Dane are great and the cleaning staff here is good enough to train some other chains.

Very nice staff, great parking, nice little pool, a good breakfast selection and a clean room. The hotel was almost full, but it was not noisy at all. Can recommend this hotel and its reasonable prices and I will definately stay here again!

Clean rooms, even though the interstate is close by we didn't hear it. There are some semi-trucks that park in the lot however we never had an issue with the noise the two times we have stayed here. The breakfast was nice and had a lot of different options. The staff were informative.

We had a good stay. The breakfast was very yummy. We had a small issue with a clogged toilet thanks to our child, and even though there was only one attendant, he came right up with a plunger and said maintenance would be arriving in 10 minutes if we needed help. We cleared the clog and not even ten minutes later, maintenance arrived to follow up and help if needed. Everyone was very friendly!

Good location with ample parking and space to walk to your dogs if needed. Very quiet, though there is one or two semis that sometimes park next door and stay running all night. It didn't affect us but could bother some guests. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable, but definitely check your rooms' air filters! Ours had clearly not been cleaned in a long time.

All of the staff were fantastic. The room was clean with everything worked in the room just fine. The remote did have some sort of wet, slimy substance on the bottom that we had to clean. We assume it was cleaning solution that wasn't dried. Breakfast was ok, but I do wish there were just a few more options, but overall it was good enough. The breakfast area was kept clean as well. I didn't have high expectations for this hotel, expecting a budget hotel with minor room issues, but they exceeded my expectations and everything met much higher standards.
